When a new pond or lake is dug during the earth working stages of development, more often than not the waterway will fill with sediment laden water. This water may appear brown or gray in color wich is caused by the suspended particles throughout the water column. Depending on the type of soil particles suspended (sand based or clay based), it could take months for the particles to "drop out" if left to do so. State agencies usually will not allow this water to be discharged in this condition in an effort to maintain water quality in the downstream or discharging areas. Our firm can take and analyze water samples to determine the proper chemical and application rate to drop the suspended sediment and return clarity to acceptable levels within 48 hours of application.
